Why is Rama Navami on Sun 22 Apr or Mon 23 Apr in Myjava?
Smarta · Rama Navami is on Sun 22 Apr: Navami holds all of madhyahna that day, and no other.
Navami holds all of madhyahna, 11:23–14:13. Navami: 09:24 to 08:00 Mon.
Navami ended at 08:00; madhyahna is Dashami. Navami: 09:24 Sun to 08:00.
One row per day, on one clock (UTC+2). Band: the tithi. Box: Madhyahna. Light strip: day; dark strip: night.
Rama’s birth is celebrated at madhyahna, the middle fifth of the day. Navami runs from 09:24 on Sun 22 Apr to 08:00 on Mon 23 Apr, so only Sunday’s madhyahna (11:23–14:13) falls within it.
Vaishnavas keep Rama Navami on a tithi that Ashtami does not pierce: Navami holds sunrise on Mon 23 Apr, at 05:43. Reading the Vaishnava rule by sunrise is Tithika’s convention.
