Why is Rama Navami on Wed 14 Apr or Thu 15 Apr in Myjava?
Smarta · Rama Navami is on Wed 14 Apr: Navami touches madhyahna that day, and no other.
Ashtami until 11:54, inside madhyahna; then Navami. Navami: 11:54 to 09:51 Thu.
Navami ended at 09:51; madhyahna is Dashami. Navami: 11:54 Wed to 09:51.
One row per day, on one clock (UTC+2). Band: the tithi. Box: Madhyahna. Light strip: day; dark strip: night.
Rama’s birth is celebrated at madhyahna, the middle fifth of the day. Navami runs from 11:54 on Wed 14 Apr to 09:51 on Thu 15 Apr, so it touches only Wednesday’s madhyahna (11:28–14:12).
Vaishnavas keep Rama Navami on a tithi that Ashtami does not pierce: Navami holds sunrise on Thu 15 Apr, at 05:59. Reading the Vaishnava rule by sunrise is Tithika’s convention.
