Why is Bhai Dooj on Wed 7 Nov in Pāthardi?
Bhai Dooj is on Wed 7 Nov: Dwitiya holds all of aparahna that day, and no other.
Dwitiya holds all of aparahna, 13:20–15:36. Dwitiya: 06:08 to 02:37 Thu.
Dwitiya ended at 02:37; aparahna is Tritiya.
One row per day, on one clock (IST). Band: the tithi. Box: Aparahna. Light strip: day; dark strip: night.
The tilak is applied in aparahna, the fourth fifth of the day. Dwitiya runs from 06:08 on Wed 7 Nov to 02:37 on Thu 8 Nov, so only Wednesday’s aparahna (13:20–15:36) falls within it. No text giving Bhai Dooj’s time was found; aparahna is Tithika’s convention.
