Why is Bhai Dooj on Mon 16 Nov in Pāthardi?
Bhai Dooj is on Mon 16 Nov: Dwitiya holds all of aparahna that day, and no other.
Dwitiya holds all of aparahna, 13:21–15:35. Dwitiya: 07:06 to 03:57 Tue.
Dwitiya ended at 03:57; aparahna is Tritiya.
One row per day, on one clock (IST). Band: the tithi. Box: Aparahna. Light strip: day; dark strip: night.
The tilak is applied in aparahna, the fourth fifth of the day. Dwitiya runs from 07:06 on Mon 16 Nov to 03:57 on Tue 17 Nov, so only Monday’s aparahna (13:21–15:35) falls within it. No text giving Bhai Dooj’s time was found; aparahna is Tithika’s convention.
