Why is Bhai Dooj on Tue 29 Oct in Pāthardi?
Bhai Dooj is on Tue 29 Oct: Dwitiya holds all of aparahna that day, and no other.
Dwitiya holds all of aparahna, 13:21–15:39. Dwitiya: 06:13 to 03:47 Wed.
Dwitiya ended at 03:47; aparahna is Tritiya.
One row per day, on one clock (IST). Band: the tithi. Box: Aparahna. Light strip: day; dark strip: night.
The tilak is applied in aparahna, the fourth fifth of the day. Dwitiya runs from 06:13 on Tue 29 Oct to 03:47 on Wed 30 Oct, so only Tuesday’s aparahna (13:21–15:39) falls within it. No text giving Bhai Dooj’s time was found; aparahna is Tithika’s convention.
