Why is Sarva Pitru Amavasya on Tue 5 Oct in Myjava?
Sarva Pitru Amavasya is on Tue 5 Oct: Amavasya touches aparahna that day, and no other.
Chaturdashi until 15:34, inside aparahna; then Amavasya. Amavasya: 15:34 to 13:05 Wed.
Amavasya ended at 13:05; aparahna is Pratipada. Amavasya: 15:34 Tue to 13:05.
One row per day, on one clock (UTC+2). Band: the tithi. Box: Aparahna. Light strip: day; dark strip: night.
The shraddha for all ancestors is done in aparahna, the fourth fifth of the day. Amavasya runs from 15:34 on Tue 5 Oct to 13:05 on Wed 6 Oct, so it touches only Tuesday’s aparahna (13:46–16:03). No text giving Sarva Pitru Amavasya’s time was found; aparahna is Tithika’s convention.
