Why is Rama Navami on Fri 19 Apr or Sat 20 Apr in Ipameri?
Smarta · Rama Navami is on Fri 19 Apr: Navami holds all of madhyahna that day, and no other.
Navami holds all of madhyahna, 11:01–13:21. Navami: 10:03 to 08:35 Sat.
Navami ended at 08:35; madhyahna is Dashami.
One row per day, on one clock (UTC−3). Band: the tithi. Box: Madhyahna. Light strip: day; dark strip: night.
Rama’s birth is celebrated at madhyahna, the middle fifth of the day. Navami runs from 10:03 on Fri 19 Apr to 08:35 on Sat 20 Apr, so only Friday’s madhyahna (11:01–13:21) falls within it.
Vaishnavas keep Rama Navami on a tithi that Ashtami does not pierce: Navami holds sunrise on Sat 20 Apr, at 06:23. Reading the Vaishnava rule by sunrise is Tithika’s convention.
