Why is Rama Navami on Mon 18 Apr or Tue 19 Apr in Sevan?
Smarta · Rama Navami is on Mon 18 Apr: Navami touches madhyahna that day, and no other.
Ashtami until 12:31, inside madhyahna; then Navami. Navami: 12:31 to 10:19 Tue.
Navami ended at 10:19; madhyahna is Dashami. Navami: 12:31 Mon to 10:19.
One row per day, on one clock (UTC+4). Band: the tithi. Box: Madhyahna. Light strip: day; dark strip: night.
Rama’s birth is celebrated at madhyahna, the middle fifth of the day. Navami runs from 12:31 on Mon 18 Apr to 10:19 on Tue 19 Apr, so it touches only Monday’s madhyahna (11:38–14:20).
Vaishnavas keep Rama Navami on a tithi that Ashtami does not pierce: Navami holds sunrise on Tue 19 Apr, at 06:14. Reading the Vaishnava rule by sunrise is Tithika’s convention.
