Why is Rama Navami on Sun 18 Apr or Mon 19 Apr in Myjava?
Smarta · Rama Navami is on Sun 18 Apr: Navami holds all of madhyahna that day, and no other.
Navami holds all of madhyahna, 11:25–14:12. Navami: 06:33 to 08:58 Mon.
Navami ended at 08:58; madhyahna is Dashami.
One row per day, on one clock (UTC+2). Band: the tithi. Box: Madhyahna. Light strip: day; dark strip: night.
Rama’s birth is celebrated at madhyahna, the middle fifth of the day. Navami runs from 06:33 on Sun 18 Apr to 08:58 on Mon 19 Apr, so only Sunday’s madhyahna (11:25–14:12) falls within it.
Vaishnavas keep Rama Navami on a tithi that Ashtami does not pierce: Navami holds sunrise on Mon 19 Apr, at 05:50. Reading the Vaishnava rule by sunrise is Tithika’s convention.
