Why is Rama Navami on Sun 25 Mar or Mon 26 Mar in Codcod?
Smarta · Rama Navami is on Sun 25 Mar: Navami holds all of madhyahna that day, and no other.
Navami holds all of madhyahna, 10:40–13:06. Navami: 10:32 to 08:24 Mon.
Navami ended at 08:24; madhyahna is Dashami. Navami: 10:32 Sun to 08:24.
One row per day, on one clock (UTC+8). Band: the tithi. Box: Madhyahna. Light strip: day; dark strip: night.
Rama’s birth is celebrated at madhyahna, the middle fifth of the day. Navami runs from 10:32 on Sun 25 Mar to 08:24 on Mon 26 Mar, so only Sunday’s madhyahna (10:40–13:06) falls within it.
Vaishnavas keep Rama Navami on a tithi that Ashtami does not pierce: Navami holds sunrise on Mon 26 Mar, at 05:48. Reading the Vaishnava rule by sunrise is Tithika’s convention.
