Why is Rama Navami on Sat 19 Apr or Sun 20 Apr in Ipameri?
Smarta · Rama Navami is on Sat 19 Apr: Navami touches madhyahna that day, and no other.
Ashtami until 12:44, inside madhyahna; then Navami. Navami: 12:44 to 10:30 Sun.
Navami ended at 10:30; madhyahna is Dashami. Navami: 12:44 Sat to 10:30.
One row per day, on one clock (UTC−3). Band: the tithi. Box: Madhyahna. Light strip: day; dark strip: night.
Rama’s birth is celebrated at madhyahna, the middle fifth of the day. Navami runs from 12:44 on Sat 19 Apr to 10:30 on Sun 20 Apr, so it touches only Saturday’s madhyahna (11:02–13:21).
Vaishnavas keep Rama Navami on a tithi that Ashtami does not pierce: Navami holds sunrise on Sun 20 Apr, at 06:22. Reading the Vaishnava rule by sunrise is Tithika’s convention.
