Why is Rama Navami on Thu 9 Apr or Fri 10 Apr in Myjava?
Smarta · Rama Navami is on Thu 9 Apr: Navami holds all of madhyahna that day, and no other.
Navami holds all of madhyahna, 10:31–13:11. Navami: 06:45 to 09:21 Fri.
Navami ended at 09:21; madhyahna is Dashami. Navami: 06:45 Thu to 09:21.
One row per day, on one clock (UTC+1). Band: the tithi. Box: Madhyahna. Light strip: day; dark strip: night.
Rama’s birth is celebrated at madhyahna, the middle fifth of the day. Navami runs from 06:45 on Thu 9 Apr to 09:21 on Fri 10 Apr, so only Thursday’s madhyahna (10:31–13:11) falls within it.
Vaishnavas keep Rama Navami on a tithi that Ashtami does not pierce: Navami holds sunrise on Fri 10 Apr, at 05:09. Reading the Vaishnava rule by sunrise is Tithika’s convention.
