Why is Pitru Paksha begins on Sun 12 Sep in Myjava?
Pitru Paksha begins is on Sun 12 Sep: Pratipada touches aparahna that day, and no other.
Aparahna is Purnima; Pratipada begins at 19:04.
Pratipada holds aparahna only until 16:04; then Dwitiya. Pratipada: 19:04 Sat to 16:04.
One row per day, on one clock (UTC+1). Band: the tithi. Box: Aparahna. Light strip: day; dark strip: night.
The first shraddha of Pitru Paksha is done in aparahna, the fourth fifth of the day. Pratipada runs from 19:04 on Sat 11 Sep to 16:04 on Sun 12 Sep, so it touches only Sunday’s aparahna (14:01–16:35). No text giving Pitru Paksha begins’s time was found; aparahna is Tithika’s convention.
