Why is Pitru Paksha begins on Sat 6 Sep in Myjava?
Pitru Paksha begins is on Sat 6 Sep: Pratipada holds all of aparahna that day, and no other.
Aparahna is Purnima; Pratipada begins at 20:45.
Pratipada holds all of aparahna, 14:05–16:43. Pratipada: 20:45 Fri to 22:41.
One row per day, on one clock (UTC+2). Band: the tithi. Box: Aparahna. Light strip: day; dark strip: night.
The first shraddha of Pitru Paksha is done in aparahna, the fourth fifth of the day. Pratipada runs from 20:45 on Fri 5 Sep to 22:41 on Sat 6 Sep, so only Saturday’s aparahna (14:05–16:43) falls within it. No text giving Pitru Paksha begins’s time was found; aparahna is Tithika’s convention.
