Why is Pitru Paksha begins on Sat 9 Sep in Codcod?
Pitru Paksha begins is on Sat 9 Sep: Pratipada holds all of aparahna that day, and no other.

Pratipada ended at 10:18; aparahna is Dwitiya. Pratipada: 11:36 Sat to 10:18.
One row per day, on one clock (UTC+8). Band: the tithi. Box: Aparahna. Light strip: day; dark strip: night.
The first shraddha of Pitru Paksha is done in aparahna, the fourth fifth of the day. Pratipada runs from 11:36 on Sat 9 Sep to 10:18 on Sun 10 Sep, so only Saturday’s aparahna (12:58–15:25) falls within it. No text giving Pitru Paksha begins’s time was found; aparahna is Tithika’s convention.
