Why is Pitru Paksha begins on Sat 7 Sep in Myjava?
Pitru Paksha begins is on Sat 7 Sep: Pratipada holds all of aparahna that day, and no other.
Aparahna is Purnima; Pratipada begins at 23:07.
Pratipada holds all of aparahna, 13:05–15:42. Pratipada: 23:07 Fri to 22:49.
One row per day, on one clock (UTC+1). Band: the tithi. Box: Aparahna. Light strip: day; dark strip: night.
The first shraddha of Pitru Paksha is done in aparahna, the fourth fifth of the day. Pratipada runs from 23:07 on Fri 6 Sep to 22:49 on Sat 7 Sep, so only Saturday’s aparahna (13:05–15:42) falls within it. No text giving Pitru Paksha begins’s time was found; aparahna is Tithika’s convention.
