Why is Maha Shivratri on Thu 11 Mar in Codcod?

Maha Shivratri is on Thu 11 Mar: Chaturdashi holds all of nishitha that night, and no other.

Chaturdashi holds all of nishitha, 23:33–00:20 Fri. Chaturdashi: 17:10 to 17:33 Fri.

Chaturdashi ended at 17:33; nishitha is Amavasya.

One row per day, on one clock (UTC+8). Band: the tithi. Box: Nishitha. Dark strip: night.

Shiva’s worship centres on nishitha, the midnight muhurta. Chaturdashi runs from 17:10 on Thu 11 Mar to 17:33 on Fri 12 Mar, so only Thursday night’s nishitha (23:33–00:20 Fri) falls within it.

The rule

Phalguna Krishna Chaturdashi (purnimanta) · Magha Krishna Chaturdashi (amanta)

Shiva’s worship centres on nishitha, the midnight muhurta.

Smarta: the night whose nishitha Chaturdashi holds; when it touches both or neither, the later (Nirnayasindhu).
Vaishnava: the Smarta day.
