Why is Maha Shivratri on Mon 20 Feb in Sevan?

Maha Shivratri is on Mon 20 Feb: Chaturdashi holds all of nishitha that night, and no other.

Nishitha is Trayodashi; Chaturdashi begins at 02:34 Mon. Chaturdashi: 02:34 Mon to 02:22 Tue.

Chaturdashi holds all of nishitha, 00:47 Tue–01:39 Tue. Chaturdashi: 02:34 to 02:22 Tue.

One row per day, on one clock (UTC+4). Band: the tithi. Box: Nishitha. Dark strip: night.

Shiva’s worship centres on nishitha, the midnight muhurta. Chaturdashi runs from 02:34 on Mon 20 Feb to 02:22 on Tue 21 Feb, so only Monday night’s nishitha (00:47 Tue–01:39 Tue) falls within it.
