Breaking the fast
Smarta · Vaishnava · Sun 22 Jul, 04:00–19:59
Parana is on Dwadashi, after its first quarter (harivasara) and before it ends. Dwadashi runs from 21:45 on Sat 21 Jul to 19:59 on Sun 22 Jul; harivasara ends at 03:18. So parana runs from sunrise on Sun 22 Jul, 04:00. Dwadashi runs past midday: the Dharmasindhu reports that many keep parana to the first 3 muhurtas after sunrise, until 07:25.
