Why is Bhai Dooj on Mon 5 Nov in Ipameri?
Bhai Dooj is on Mon 5 Nov: Dwitiya touches aparahna that day, and no other.
Pratipada until 14:28, inside aparahna; then Dwitiya. Dwitiya: 14:28 to 12:39 Tue.
Dwitiya ended at 12:39; aparahna is Tritiya. Dwitiya: 14:28 Mon to 12:39.
One row per day, on one clock (UTC−3). Band: the tithi. Box: Aparahna. Light strip: day; dark strip: night.
The tilak is applied in aparahna, the fourth fifth of the day. Dwitiya runs from 14:28 on Mon 5 Nov to 12:39 on Tue 6 Nov, so it touches only Monday’s aparahna (13:13–15:47). No text giving Bhai Dooj’s time was found; aparahna is Tithika’s convention.
The rule
