Why is Bhai Dooj on Thu 23 Oct in Thazhecode?
Bhai Dooj is on Thu 23 Oct: Dwitiya holds all of aparahna that day, and no other.
Aparahna is Pratipada; Dwitiya begins at 20:17.
Dwitiya holds all of aparahna, 13:21–15:42. Dwitiya: 20:17 Wed to 22:47.
One row per day, on one clock (IST). Band: the tithi. Box: Aparahna. Light strip: day; dark strip: night.
The tilak is applied in aparahna, the fourth fifth of the day. Dwitiya runs from 20:17 on Wed 22 Oct to 22:47 on Thu 23 Oct, so only Thursday’s aparahna (13:21–15:42) falls within it. No text giving Bhai Dooj’s time was found; aparahna is Tithika’s convention.
