Why is Bhai Dooj on Thu 23 Oct in Codcod?
Bhai Dooj is on Thu 23 Oct: Dwitiya holds all of aparahna that day, and no other.
Aparahna is Pratipada; Dwitiya begins at 22:47.
Dwitiya holds all of aparahna, 12:42–15:04. Dwitiya: 22:47 Wed to 01:17 Fri.
One row per day, on one clock (UTC+8). Band: the tithi. Box: Aparahna. Light strip: day; dark strip: night.
The tilak is applied in aparahna, the fourth fifth of the day. Dwitiya runs from 22:47 on Wed 22 Oct to 01:17 on Fri 24 Oct, so only Thursday’s aparahna (12:42–15:04) falls within it. No text giving Bhai Dooj’s time was found; aparahna is Tithika’s convention.
