Why is Bhai Dooj on Sat 6 Nov in Thazhecode?
Bhai Dooj is on Sat 6 Nov: Dwitiya holds all of aparahna that day, and no other.
Aparahna is Pratipada; Dwitiya begins at 23:15.
Dwitiya holds all of aparahna, 13:19–15:39. Dwitiya: 23:15 Fri to 19:44.
One row per day, on one clock (IST). Band: the tithi. Box: Aparahna. Light strip: day; dark strip: night.
The tilak is applied in aparahna, the fourth fifth of the day. Dwitiya runs from 23:15 on Fri 5 Nov to 19:44 on Sat 6 Nov, so only Saturday’s aparahna (13:19–15:39) falls within it. No text giving Bhai Dooj’s time was found; aparahna is Tithika’s convention.
